Dashboard, Products and Orders

The three screens you use every day. They are built to work as well on a phone as on a desktop.

Dashboard

/admin opens on a summary of the shop.

  • Date range. The chips beside the greeting (7, 30, 90 days, plus the site's own default from ADMIN_HOMEPAGE_GRAPH_DAYS) change the sales figures and the daily chart.
  • Sales figures (people with finance access): sales and order count for the range, average order, today's sales, total orders and the long-term total.
  • Needs attention. Orders to pack, orders to dispatch, failed payments, open returns, fundraisers waiting for review and searches that found nothing. A row only appears when there is something to do, and each links to the right list. Order rows are shown to people who can manage orders.
  • Recent orders. The six newest, for people who can manage orders.
  • Charts. Orders and revenue per day and per month.
  • Shop activity. Page, product and collection views, products added to baskets and searches, each with the busiest items. The Searches tab is a short summary that links to Search analytics.

Products

Catalogue > Products lists products as a table on desktop and as cards on a phone.

  • Filter by Enabled, Disabled or No image, search by name, URL slug or SKU, and sort by name, price or last change. See Catalogue for the detail.
  • Each row shows the image, name, SKU, collections (as chips), stock, status and price. A product with variants shows the stock across its variants. Out of stock shows in red, five or fewer in amber.
  • Tapping a row opens the product editor. View opens the product on the shop (not shown for disabled products).

Orders

Orders has one list per state, joined by the chips above the list: Active, All, Completed, Cancelled, Payment failed, Incomplete and Returns. The search box above the list finds orders by order number, customer name or email address (every word you type has to match), and keeps your search when you switch between the chips.

An order page shows the items and totals, payment, returns and activity on the left, and the customer, addresses, fulfilment and email buttons on the right.

The main actions sit at the top of the order:

Action When it appears
Pack order The order is paid and has physical items still to pack (one fulfiller)
Dispatch order The order is being packed. Tracking details are optional and go in the dispatch email
Partial refund / Full refund Something has been captured and can still be refunded
Cancel order The order has not been dispatched yet

When an order is split between several fulfillers, each fulfiller's items are packed and dispatched separately from the Fulfilment card.
